Description The three Croatian bases span the length of the Adriatic Sea, giving you the choice to explore the northern islands from Pula near Italy, Kornati National Park from Rogoznica in the centre or one of the many southern islands from the new base in Dubrovnik. Our fleet of yachts and catamarans in Croatia range from 33ft to 52ft.
The three bases offer cruising to over thousand islands along more than thousnad miles of shoreline. Pula in the north sits on the tip of the Istrian Peninsula next to Brijuni National Park, opening up an exciting area already well-known and highly -praised by the Europeans.
Wind and Sailing Conditions
Rogozina: Mornings lights and variable strength variable. Afternoon West/Northwest 10 - 20 knots. Nights are usually still, very light in height of the summer. Early and late season South/Southeast winds of variable strength.
Pula : Similiar to Rogozina with stronger winds.
Dubrovnik: Short distances between the islands with strong southerly and westerly winds much like Pula.
Dining Ashore With over 400 species of fish in this part of the Adriatic, Croatia is heaven for fish fans! Look out for the Gilt-headed bream, Adriatic Blue and Dentex (a member of the swordfish family). Scampi in Croatia is much bigger and prepared in local Bouzzara sauce of garlic, wine and tomato. Local specialities include Cevapicici, small beef, onion and herb rizzoles and Raznjici, a pork kebab. For good red wines try Dignac, Postup, Kastelet, Plavac and the well-known favourite, Babic. White wines Posip, Grk, Bogdanusa and Zlatan Otok are from the islands of Korcula and Hvar.
