Egypt Water Sports Holidays
Description  Sharm el Sheikh is situated on the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula, where the desert meets the ocean. Formerly a small fishing village, Sharm el Sheikh has become one of Egypt’s most fashionable beach resorts and a popular choice for both divers and sunworshippers. Na’ama Bay, the resort centre, boasts a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an abundance of dive centres, hotels, restaurants, shops and bars. It is also home to some of the most famous dive sites of the Red Sea, such as the Ras Mohammed National Park, the Straits of Tiran and even the wreck of the Thistlegorm and Dunraven. For non divers or on days when you have no diving booked, there are a host of other activities to enjoy: glass bottom boat trips, sunset cruises, camel & jeep safaris, windsurfing, 10 pin bowling and trips to various sites of interest. Our representatives in resort will be able to give you full information and help you book these trips.

Ras Mohammed National Park  Situated where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba, Ras Hohammed offers a dive area with amazing sights such as 'Anemone City' and the adrenaline pumping walls of 'Shark Reef' aptly noted for its shark sightings. You can also see massive schools of jacks and black snapper swirl in fish tornadoes flanked by schools of barracuda.

Wreck of the Thistlegorm  To the experienced diver, the Thistlegorm is perceived as one of the most sought after wreck dives in the world. The Thistlegorm was delivering war supplies for the British Army when she ws bombed in October 1941. The wreck is home to big jacks, snapper, bannerfish, barracuda and huge groupers. Please note this wreck dive is subject to weather conditions and an additional charge payable in resort.

Snorkelling  The Red Sea is ideal for snorkelling enthusiasts since much of the underwater life exists in the first 10 metres. If members of your party do not wish to dive, they are welcome to join the dive boat and snorkel for a small daily charge.
