Description Corsica`s constant winds and wild natural beauty combine to make a superb sailing holiday around this pink granite island of mountains, clear blue waters and rugged scenery. You can fully appreciate the rare beauty of this island from the sea, sailing along its impressive coastline indented by charming coves, ancient watchtowers and tiny islets.
Formerly A Stardust base, the Macinaggio location is situated in a typical quaint Corsican port, in the northern part of Corsica near to Bastia.
Wind and Sailing Conditions The prevailing contant winds in this area of The Mediterranean are from a southwest and southeast direction. During April and October you will encounter thermal breezes, starting in the morning and calming by the afternoon. Winds are generally stronger in the gulfs and capes of the islands and anchorages are calm during the night.
Dining Ashore The Corsicans are as proud of their cuisine as they are of their history. Distinctly French flavours are coupled with typically Corsican preparation. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants sering local dishes that include charcutrrie, bouillabassie, cheeses, fresh seafood and famous wines.
