Description The cruising grounds on the north island in New Zealand encompass two spectacular maritime park: the Bay of Islands to the far nort, and the Hauraki Gulf, starting from Auckland.
Wind and Sailing Conditions The early morning and late afternoon tend to be very calm, the wind in the afternoon becoming stronger. Our cruising areas are tidal, with a range of 2m in both areas.
Dining Ashore New Zealand's reputation for its wine and cuisine is the envy of the southern hemisphere. Local Pacific dishes range from fresh crayfish to wild pork, New Zealand lamb and a banquet of ethnic dishes with a wealth of fine seafood restaurants in both cruising areas. Steinlarger is a very well known Beer here, and Montana Wines and Marlborough Vineyards are renowned for excellent wines.
